#JuicyBird: The Campaign Against Dry Turkey
This Christmas we’re campaigning against the biggest festive faux pas we believe you can make: dry turkey. We know that being in charge of the most anticipated meal of the year can be a stressful experience. But we believe that cooking your bird by temperature, not time, will ensure that your meat is safe, succulent and stress-free. With an expensive piece of meat to cook, a table of expectant guests (one of which always likes to bring up the Christmas they got food poisoning) and the urge to put it back in the oven for 10 minutes because you’re not sure just how transparent clear juices should look, why not just take 3 seconds to confirm that the meat is cooked perfectly to 74°C?
We launched our campaign by hosting a supper club in collaboration with Masterchef champions Billy & Jack, where they demonstrated how essential the Thermapen was to creating many elements of their festive feast. Click here to view their recipes from the night and to get some turkey inspiration.
